Studio Policy

New Students

  • To sign up for lessons, new students must first complete the contact form and consult with a member of the Cremona staff or faculty.

  • Once you’re set up with regular lessons at our studio after the trial lesson, we encourage you to join our Heylo group for the latest studio updates.

Lesson Scheduling

  • At the beginning of each semester, students should register for their regular lesson hours via the Acuity scheduling page. Priority will be given to students who reside more than an hour away from our studio and who register in advance. Students with last-minute cancellations from the previous semester will be assigned the lowest priority.

  • Please note that lesson times may be adjusted based on the teacher’s performance schedule or other commitments, and students may be offered Zoom lessons or lessons with different Cremona instructors. Reminders will be sent 24 hours before your lesson to the email you provided during registration.

  • For easy access to your lesson schedule, please create an account on the Acuity scheduling page. You can view all your signed-up lessons. Additionally, you will receive confirmation emails each time you book a lesson, which can also help you keep track of your schedule.

  • If you do not receive a reminder 24 hours before your lesson, or if you receive reminders for lessons you did not sign up for, please check with your teacher to confirm your schedule. Please be aware that changes to lesson times may occur based on teacher availability.

  • If a student needs to reschedule or cancel a lesson, we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice to accommodate the adjustment. There are teachers and students who travel long distances for in-person lessons, and there are sometimes waitlists for certain lesson times. Please be respectful of their time by communicating any schedule changes in advance. There will be a $25 cancellation fee if the lesson is cancelled within 24 hours of the lesson.

  • In case of inclement weather or travel plans by the student or teacher, in-person lessons may be substituted with Zoom lessons.

  • We kindly request your understanding that there is a possibility that lessons may extend a few minutes beyond their scheduled end and start time in order to accommodate back-to-back lessons.

Payment

  • Lesson and program tuition may be paid by cash, check, or Zelle 646-530-0434 (Cremona Music Studio). We no longer accept Venmo payments. Thank you for your understanding.

  • When making the payment, please include the name of the teacher and the date of the lesson in the memo for clarity and reference.

  • We ask that the payment for lessons is made either prior to or within the week of the lesson at the latest.

Studio Etiquette

  • Please remove your shoes upon entering the studio. We may occasionally keep our shoes on for special events.

  • Restroom keys are available at the reception area; restrooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors. Kindly return the keys after use. Some restrooms may not have toilet paper, so please take some from the studio if needed.

  • If you arrive early and find an empty room, feel free to unpack and practice!

  • Please note that our studio does not accept any student who is studying with another teacher, except when they are referred to our studio by their current teacher.

  • To ensure progress that aligns with each student's level and goals, consistent daily practice is essential. Teachers will provide guidance on the appropriate duration of practice sessions for each student.

  • Please note that it’s student’s responsibility to check deadlines for competitions, auditions, and plan accordingly (schedule rehearsals and extra lessons, book recording studio, etc.)

  • Please kindly note recording any part of the lesson is not allowed unless the student receives permission from the teacher.

  • Cremona students have the opportunity to take lessons from multiple faculty members, in consultation with their lead teacher. Our faculty collaborates closely to ensure that each student receives personalized attention for optimal growth and progress through faculty meetings, group classes, and various programs.

  • Students may be recommended to take lessons with another Cremona teacher if their lead teacher is unavailable due to personal matters or performances, after discussing this with parents.

  • During our programs and events, we may take photographs of students for purposes of promotion and archiving to be posted on social media. If you prefer to exclude your or your child's photographs from these activities, please kindly let us know.

  • The primary aim of Cremona Music Studio is to create a nurturing environment that enhances our students' musical learning and empowers them to excel. It is crucial to maintain a mutually respectful relationship between students and teachers. Any deviation from this could potentially lead to the immediate discontinuation of their lessons and participation in the programs.

  • Thank you for being a part of the Cremona community!
